Born and raised in Richmonnd, VA, Brandon first fell in love with theatre middle school. He continued on to attend Thomas Dale High School’s Specialty Center for the Arts, focusing on theatre performance. Following his graduation, he went on to receive a BFA in performance from Virginia Commonwealth University. His experiences as a director, writer, actor and producer earned him the Artistic Director's Internship and Producing Fellowship at Baltimore Center Stage. During his time in Baltimore, he assisted and received mentorship from highly esteemed directors including Kwame Kwei-Armah, Kamilah Forbes, Lila Neugebauer, Hana S. Sharif, and Tony Taccone. After two years in Baltimore, he moved to New York, where he currently resides, to work as a freelance artist. In April 2017, he Co-Founded River City Stages; a multi-disciplinary platform for artist to generate and curate their ideas.
His plays have received readings and productions at Baltimore Center Stage, Midtown International Theatre Festival, Manhattan Repertory Theatre, and Fells Point Theatre. He's an experienced cook, loves all things in black nostalgia, and travels whenever he gets the opportunity. He is currently a Directing Fellow at Manhattan Theatre Club and Guest Actor with the School of Visual Arts. Check out his resumè for more of his background!
